Remember Gene Curcio and Crescent Communications? He's been in the news again. He was named as a would-be buyer for the huge Iridium telecommunications company. According to my local newspaper, he was the only bidder, and he failed to raise the $10 M required by the bankruptcy court to buy Iridium. So Iridium will now let all its satellites fall into the atmosphere and burn up. Guess it's tough to raise $10 M to buy a huge company, if you don't even have a phone number, eh?
