RE: <Actually I'm terrified. All those 550 and 600 MHz PIIIs I saw at Fry's today really got to me.>

Scumbria,

I was in Best Buy today and although I was in a huge hurry I decided to do a blitz through the PC section. I only looked at the HP systems because that is the side that I happened to go to first. This is what I was able to absorb in the minute or two that I spent there:

1. Highest HP Athlon model 850MHz
2. Highest HP PIII model 650MHz
3. 800MHz Athlon cost around $500 more than the 600MHz PIII but the Athlon had a 40MB HD and a 16MB video card while the PIII had a 30MB HD and a 4MB video card
4. More HP Athlons than PIII's (I didn't specifically count but this was my impression)

I might go back later when I have more time (and something to write on) but I thought I would post this for whatever it was worth.

Regards,

Epinephrine
