OT Constitution

Notice that the Constitution says nothing explicit about the Supreme Court being permitted to overturn laws passed by Congress (i.e. the representatives of the People). I cannot believe that the Founders thought for a moment that a court with an indefinite number of members would end up the final authority on everything. Congress was the special protectee of the Founders. The Supreme Court was more or less an afterthought. The Chief Justice doesn't even have to be "learned in the law." Marshall just purely put himself into the judgment seat. The Supreme Court has always gotten away with almost anything they wished.
