Current problem with BEAS is the upper limit, $170, yearly target set by some analysts. I do not see any other reason why it should be where it is now. (I do not follow technical charts. I understand enough about the technology and the market place to assess this stock. The market has proved my technical analysis wrong few years ago. I stopped doing it now. I only use comparative valuation .. which tells me that BEAS's market cap should be much much more than current $16.8 bil)

Another problem is the current management. B E and A are not known to encourage too much hype. They are here to build a large company that will become another CISCO. They will never play cheap tricks, to set aggressive expectations. Even though, more and more customers are flocking to BEAS to buy more WebLogic, BEAS will not declare blowing away numbers .. by an aggresive margin.

What they have is
* a strong product base (built and tested for the next 5 years)
* strong and committed R&D (guess who is going to leave now, after a 12-fold increase in their stock options)
* fast increasing customer base (for each license of WebLogic that they sell, they have a lock into that customer. It is a foot in the door to so many upcoming web companies. And they are already situated deeply with the largest enterprises.)
* the market already is noticing this giant
* what other e-commerce company has revenues of $500+ millions?

A great future ahead. But not much fun for short timers.
