Daniel - As best I can figure it out, napster is a "community" of users who have thousands of MP3 files that can be downloaded; so I could download from you any songs that you have that I want and vice versa. You can build a pretty big library in no time, and at about a MB per minute, disk space disappears pretty quickly.

As I said, that's my perception - if anyone else has a better understanding of what it is, I'd appreciate hearing it.
