They would not have gone ahead with this second closing if the product wasn't successful in trial runs.

I talked to management at OFC and was told the 8-channel won't be integrated with Molex's products until late spring - early summer at which time certification testing begins.

Molex's investment of $750,000 is a drop in the bucket. It would be worth checking on the company's burn rate. Some pre-IPO companies run through this amount in a week.
