Taylor says Birch Mountain is another exciting story

Birch Mountain Resources Ltd BMD
Shares issued 30,733,825 Mar 17 close $2.55
Mon 20 Mar 2000 In the News
Writing in the March 10 issue of Gold & Technology Stocks, Jay Taylor
maintains his buy recommendation on Birch Mountain, telling his subscribers
that he has heard that Strathcona is expected to confirm the existence of
precious metals on the company's properties. "Assuming that comes to pass
(I have no reason to doubt my source), I would anticipate a major rise in
the value of this stock," Mr. Taylor writes. Mr. Taylor introduced Birch
Mountain to his readers in January with the stock trading at $2.38. Fellow
newsletter writer John Kaiser gave Birch Mountain the nod in December,
1998, at 30 cents and was not impressed with "the adoption of Birch
Mountain by desert dirt lovers such as Jay Taylor." Mr. Kaiser also seems
to have some reservations regarding an esoteric scientific theory developed
by the company's vice-president of exploration, Hugh Abercrombie. Be that
as it may, Mr. Taylor believes that Birch Mountain is a "very exciting
story," a belief he held about the disastrous desert dirt play of Naxos
Resources. Birch Mountain closed recently at $2.55.
