Tony, I wasn't confused about the time frame of the 2 GHZ processor chip and didn't indicate in my post that it was going to be available in the very short term. Why do you have a problem with IBM releasing information on technology which won't ship in the very near future? My personal take on the recent releases from IBM is that they are widening their lead in key technology areas. Copper interconnect, silicon on insulator, etc are fundamental advantages that IBM currently enjoys. When they were announced well ahead of shipment of product, I used the information to reinforce my decision to continue long in the face of bad news re Y2K. IMHO information relative to future capabilities is highly relevant. Scott
