Oracle Adopts Live Internet Collaboration Software from Centra

LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March, 20 2000--Centra (NASDAQ:CTRA), the world leader in software infrastructure and a B2B marketplace for live Internet collaboration, today announced that Oracle Corporation, the largest provider of software for eBusiness, has selected Centra 99(TM) to deliver live, Web-based training as part of its `Net Class' initiative across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Centra 99 enables live interaction over intranets, extranets, and the Internet to expedite critical business processes such as virtual teamwork, collaborative commerce, and eLearning.

Oracle's `Net Class' initiative incorporates all aspects of training and will include sales training for all Oracle consultants as well as customer training, consultancy and support. Through the implementation of Centra 99, Oracle will be able to increase reach, speed of deployment, and support of its eBusiness strategy while greatly reducing travel time and costs associated with traditional training methods and shorten the time it takes for a successful implementation.

"The reality of being able to use a single trainer based anywhere in the world to train an unlimited number of sales people or customers dotted around the globe, at any one time, is clearly a cost effective and time efficient method of fulfilling training requirements. This will enable us to offer our customers and sales team expedient consultancy and training anywhere in the world," Mike Davies, Director of Web Media for Oracle University.

Software Infrastructure for Real-Time Business Interaction on the Web

Centra provides comprehensive software infrastructure for live B2B collaboration, comprised of the widely-deployed Centra 99 Web application for collaborative sales, marketing, services and eLearning; and CentraNow(TM), a convenient network service for live meetings and events on the Web. Together, these interconnected products and services enable live, voice-enabled interaction with customers, partners and employees in a variety of business contexts, such as sales meetings and presentations, marketing seminars, learning and interactive teamwork sessions. Today Centra is used by more than 200,000 business professionals worldwide, including Global 2000 companies in virtually every industry.

Centra's integrated voice-over-IP capabilities, shared workspace environment, and easy-to-use interface enable live conversation and human interaction over the Internet. Unlike text chat, instant messaging, and screen sharing, Centra's solutions offer significant advantages in highly structured, collaborative, and content-rich, real-time interaction with the functionality, performance, and universal, low-bandwidth connectivity required to support important, high-velocity business processes in dispersed organizations.

"We are delighted to be working with a globally recognised company such as Oracle, and look forward to a long-term successful relationship with Oracle. This decision is another validation of Centra's market leadership position in Europe and across the World," Lawrence Whittle, Vice President of European Sales Operations for Centra.
