"So Jim, how are you doing with all this? "
Let's just say I was position trader for decades. I began swingtrading msft as a hobby thanks to computer technology. After a while I began daytrading msft. I stumbled onto a chatroom where one guy actually tracks the s&p 500 and when it upticks he would buy MSFT and hold until the s&p 500 downticked, then he would sell. Some runs would only make a fraction of a point, but through out the week he would get multipoint runs several times. With 1000 share buyins he would make more in a week than i would make in a year holding MSFT. I will add at this point he no longer has been playing MSFT as he switched to CSCO a few months back. I also have picked up on this method, thus I would consider buying MSFT longterm as a waste of my time and money, however for the people who do not know how to play short term I would still maintain if you can get in when it is down 25% from the yearly high, do so.
