IMO, Mike.. there doesn't appear to be a single standard. If you look at what Next Level has done delivering MPEG over ATM over VDSL, and then compare that to the generic PON model which supports Full Service Area Networks, you could envisage a mosaic of possibilities, all slightly different from one another, which are mainly vendor and/or carrier specific.

I'll give a look around. In the meantime, if Denver Techie or Dave Horne or someone else knows of a good tutorial, please post.
