re: straddles in Penson accounts

I've been on vaca the past week (and Im sure you can guess
what I was doing!) and received an email from Cyber with
info on detailed margin calculations provided by Penson.

I checked the dates that were in question in my particular
account and it appears that while the Penson web site
shows the straddles (long/short in same stock), they were
not included in margin interest calculations. That is
good news, but it was a long time (2 months) to find out
for sure.

Keep in mind that the presence of a straddle in your account
might still change your overnite (not intraday) buying
power, so if that number ever looks off you might want to
check the penson site to see if that is why (and of course
call Cyber).
