It's late, too late. I was eager to check Asia when I got home to see if the Taiwan Weighted would bounce off 8500 -- it did, up well over 5% as I write. (Oh, how I would like a stabalisation fund. :) Should be a decent day tomorrow. Europe will follow-through and we wee see a push through 4800 on the NASDAQ if AG does not get heavy-handed.

IMO, when 8500 breaks down in Taiwan all hell will break lose there.

Here in Canada the speculators are confused. I play stocks mostly and our little band can not figure out how to play 2.5% TSE/CDNX days where the rise is spread across everything. The nature of things has changed these last few days. The up days are spread out. Less manic. If I had the energy I would muster the breadth data to back my intuition.

If you find a slow time this morning, pull up a chart of the CDNX market. It is the merged Vancouver and Alberta exchanges, married on Nov 29, 1999. It is a dreamy chart. Index was pegged to 2000 and has run to almost 4500. The only 2 down days of note at all occurred Tue/Wed of last week. Until then there was no volatility at all in the chart, just one shadowless candle up-day after the other.

Waiting for the final explosive desparate pop over 5400 so I can nail down those puts. --Allan
