Steven, it appears that you may be from academia with the replies to posts. Well, sorry about that. I am quite familiar with the smug attitude of superiority of scientists who think they have a lock on everything, and the stodgy old professors who look down their noses at all other humans as being inferior. They have been wrong before, and will be again. Nothing satisfies me more than than seeing a dean eat crow.
Just to make it quite clear, IF it were up to me, every school day would begin with a prayer in each room, followed by the "Pledge of Allegiance" using the words "under God", each school assembly or sporting event would begin with a prayer, and the Ten Commandments would be posted on the wall. Creation would be taught, and abortion reviled. Homosexuality would not be tolerated. Condoms would NOT be passed out. So, go ahead and cry "not fair!!". OF COURSE IT'S NOT FAIR!!!!. If someone told you that life, and the world was fair, and you believed him, you are, at least, one bubble off the plumb. ~H~ |
