atvcb, I read this in your post:

On the assumption that indeed most of us agree on the above two points, it seems to me that there is a chance
that the INPR shareholders might vote down the deal.

I can't see this merger having a snowball's chance in hell of passing. I would think that even the Corel shareholders who sold and bought INPR to take advantage of the arbitrage situation aren't voting for this. Imagine trying to get ML and the other institutional investors to rubber stamp this one. Good luck!

If you are unhappy with this merger, you should consider joining Don Magie's shareholder protest. You don't have to give up your proxy rights to him, he's just taking down your name, phone number and the number of shares you own. He has quite a list already and has about 5 million shares represented. Bill Coats, former member of the INPR board has put his support behind Don as well. If you are interested, visit his web site.

Don has done a lot of work on this and his efforts have been documented by the news media. If you try and contact him, it may take awhile for him to get back to you (I heard from him about a week and a half after I had contacted him). He's been very busy with this campaign and he has a day job too.
