Srexley- I read through Seren's website. Apparently this may fall under a category of SP(Service Provider) that coincidently we just discussed on the Last Mile thread.

Seren is a subsidiary of a utility power company. Seren appears to be a typical cableco that seems to have been built their network from scratch. Seren is very careful not to mention anything about their utility Row(right of way) in the design of their HFC(hybrid fiber coaxial) network. I'm not exactly sure why? That's about all I can see to it that may be unique to them.

If you find out they did indeed use the electric power grid RoW, please let us know. I imagine if you just talked to a tech or two, they would verify physically where their network is run. Or if it's an aerial plant, just physically stroll around and trace a few cables and see if it follows their powerline network. Thanks. -MikeM(From Florida)
