SED International do Brazil to Distribute Xerox
ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 21, 2000--SED International, Inc. (NASDAQ:SECX - news) announced today that SED International do Brazil has entered into a relationship with Xerox. Under the terms of this agreement, SED International do Brazil will distribute the entire line of Xerox products, including printers with solid wax technology, monochrome laser printers and high performance copiers, enhancing the alternatives for the distribution channel composed by a network of about five thousand resellers, VARs and retailers.

``Xerox is one of the most traditional and well known names in the technology industry known for quality and reliability,' said Ronell Rivera, President of SED International do Brazil and SED Latin America Division. This relationship strengthens our leadership in our printer division. With the addition of Xerox as a new business partner, SED Brazil will focus in intensifying their market share by offering more compelling solutions to fulfill our customers' needs. We add value to the Xerox and customer relationships by training high-end specialized resellers and thus enhancing our customer's solution offerings,`` added Rivera.

``This partnership represents the perfect alliance,' said Mauricio B. Santori, Director of Channel Sales Operations of Xerox Brazil. ``SED has a tremendous know-how in printers' distribution and is the main distributor of Tektronix in the country and owns a strong market share in Apple products which is a very attractive market for us.' To show the business potential, he explained, ``It is important to say that Xerox sold about 23 thousand printers in 1999 and their goal is to reach 35 thousand this year. We feel so confident in SED's technical and sales power that we expect that they would be responsible for 50% of these sales,' added Santori.
