No, what I am asking about is why it is that you think that buyers are suddenly going to put price pressure on Sun. Unless you think that price and performance numbers are such overwhelming factors in purchase decisions for machines in this class that nothing else matters ... which I believe we have been over before. Let's face it; if you weren't pushing the top end much, one has been able to beat the price/performance of Sun servers with Intel boxes for a long time, whether one ran Unix (for better performance) or WinXX on the Intel box. And, some have chosen that route. But it doesn't seem to have slowed down much. The Intel boxes keep pushing the envelope up, but then so does Sun and, guess what, the higher the level, the less likely one will go non-brand name. Threat from the likes of IBM is more credible, but do you really think in a total cost of ownership comparison that IBM is going to have a massive advantage, especially when you factor in all the other issues which go into a buying decision?
