Ariba Selects AltaVista for B2B Commerce Platform

AltaVista has also announced that Ariba, Inc., the leading provider of business-to-business commerce solutions, has selected AltaVista Search Engine 3.0 for use within the Ariba B2B Commerce Platform. AltaVista's advanced search technology will provide Ariba's customers with a highly scalable and customizable search engine, enabling users to quickly find products and services matching their specific needs. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

The integrated search developer's kit allows administrators to create powerful, customized search applications for e-commerce. Automated database gathering technology makes it easy for administrators to enable Web search of company databases, with no code to write.
