It must be a good-cop, bad-cop strategy!

Ever since this Corel deal was announced, I've been trying to reconcile apparently good moves by Fuller in the past, versus apparently pretty good reasons to hate the Corel deal.

Maybe Fuller's strategy all along was to get Corel talking merger, and then use INPR shareholder sentiment to leverage a better deal. "Gee sorry Michael, I did my best but my shareholders aren't going for it, nothing I can do. But ya know, you don't want to look like you're gonna be left standing at the altar, so maybe you'd like to renegotiate..."

With this cunning tactic, maybe Inprise winds up with all of Corel's stuff, including a linux brand.

Yeah, that must be it!
