.....Micron's PC sales continue to be hit
hard by falling prices and fierce competition from much larger
PC-makers, including Compaq, Dell Computer Corp. and Gateway.

Sales in the battered PC division were down 25 percent in the
second-quarter of 2000 from the second quarter of 1999. Six-month
sales were down more than 25 percent.
