John, it looks like when I typed in Gliatech, the Boolean search mechanism brought up the patent because Gliatech is given as a reference. When you call up the patent (
patent.womplex.ibm.com, Gliatech is listed as the very last item under Other References:

Gliatech, Inc. "Inhibition of Beta amyloid Binding to glycosaminoglycans
for treatment of alzheimer's disease," WIPO International Publication No.
WO 95/06477, Mar. 9 1995. (PCT/US94/09853, Filed Aug. 29 1994).

I am embarrassed. A very embarrassing lesson that I will not soon forget. Thanks Rick for explaining. tom
