I was nervous also when I found out ETEK's closing price. However, the downdraft in ETEK around 3 pm didn't coincide with any news. The Bloomberg article came out early this morning. JDSU says the 30 day waiting period for the initial government review has not elapsed yet. Of course the gov. would do some investigating. There is still a chance that before the end of the month the gov. will give the go-ahead. My best read of the Bloomberg article indicates that JDSU is committed to making this happen. I would think the other consolidations (e.g NT and CoreTek) would increase competition, and thus JDSU's chances for acceptance. Unless we hear specific news, since the gov. hasn't even taken it's 30 days yet, any movement in ETEK vs. JDSU is just noise IMO. I just hope I can ride it out.
