Logicode Technology Inc. announces full production of Windows 95 version of its
56K bps modems

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 30, 1997--Leading modem/data
communications manufacturer Logicode Technology Inc. announced full production
and shipment of Windows 95 exclusive internal 56K bps Quicktel fax/modems.

The Plug 'N Play 56W95-P modem is completely software-upgradeable and comes
with Logicode's 56K free upgrade offer to the ITU/TIA standard once it is ratified.

Logicode's 56K modems feature the x2 technology by US Robotics, enabling users to
download information from the Internet at speeds up to 56K bps over regular analog
phone lines. The x2 compatibility provides users with the widest selection of
interoperable Internet Service Providers (ISPs).

In addition, the 56W95-P comes with a complete data/fax communications software
package from Smith Micro Software Inc., which includes QuickLink fax. As future
products are released, they will include QuickLink Message Center and
MacComCenter software also from Smith Micro.

new 56K modems and has provided a level of customer support and service

The estimated street price for the 56W95-P is $149.95. Other Logicode 56K
fax/modems will range in price from $169.95 to $319.95, depending on model and
features.
