Leigh, Hi!! RE: The new division plans to invest initially in 10-to-20 firms, using surplus funds at the parent. Dell Computer KK will take stakes of less than 10 percent in unlisted firms with strong technologies and services in areas such as the Internet, servers and computer memory, the Nihon Keizai said. I was informed long ago that DELL would do a lot of partnering in the future...Obviously they "deceived" us again... :o) Appears that almost every other announcement contains a partnership where they can use the other company as an investment and a possible product line addition or enhancement...
