Amex handling question.

Steve, first off I would like to say that it's great what you have done here. I just discovered the thread last week.

In the past I have stuck with only trading Nasdaq stocks, until recently. This past week I started trading HOLDRs which I believe are traded on the AMEX. My question is, how does order routing work on the AMEX? When I send my order (almost always between the spread) sometimes the specialist will show my order, and sometimes not. If the stock is at 50 x 51, and I put in an order to sell at 50 3/4, should my order show up on L2?

Thanks in advance,
Dustin
