ESI Files Suit Against Dynamic Details Inc. and GSI Lumonics, Inc. For Patent Infringement
PORTLAND, Ore., March 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Electro Scientific Industries, Inc. (Nasdaq: ESIO) announced that it has filed an action against Dynamic Details Inc. of Anaheim, California and GSI Lumonics, Inc. (Nasdaq: GSLI) of Kanata, Ontario in the United States District Court for the Central District of California for patent infringement. The complaint alleges Dynamic Details and GSI Lumonics are violating ESI's U.S. patent 5,847,960 entitled "Multi-Tool Positioning System." The complaint alleges that GSI Lumonics offers to sell, sells and imports into the United States a high speed laser drilling system known as the GS-600, and that Dynamic Details, Inc. possesses and uses a GS-600 system. The complaint alleges that Dynamic Details infringes ESI's patent 5,847,960, and that GSI Lumonics has actively induced infringement of, and contributorily infringed, ESI's patent 5,847,960.
