Oh, there was definitely blood there. Her clothes were supposedly soaked with blood. There was obviously blood underneath her which is why they removed the plot of grass. What I've not read anywhere (and I have just about every article ever written on this case) nor heard is anything about blood drops being found on the street or near the body. This is not something the police would keep quiet as there would be witnesses and reporters who would have seen it, reported it, and asked questions about it.

You are right that it is odd the police still apparently think she was murdered at that spot. Perhaps they meant in a car at that spot, I don't know. That's the most frustrating part. The police will not answer any questions, which allows people to speculate they know more than they probably do.

I recall one report of the body being at an angle across the parkway..if I find the reference I will post the link.

I recall that reference as well and also can't find it. I thought it was from the 20/20 broadcast but the word "parkway" is not part of the transcript. In any case, it refers to the grassy area between the street and the sidewalk.
