At the risk of being off thread... One idea for those who want to play G&K with a shorter-term range is to move any 401K investments into a Rollover IRA brokerage account. I just recently switch jobs and I did exactly this instead of moving my money into my new companies 401K. This allows me to use my retirement account as a potential "scout". If an investment looks to have legs, I can make a long-term purchase in my non-tax deferred account. Until then, I can aggressive trade in my tax deferred IRA.
