Heinz or anyone,

I have a question regarding market debt.

Since shorts, I assume, are technically considered margined, could this increase in margin debt be actually an indicator of short interest vs actual borrowing to buy? Needless to say, the effects on the market is vastly different, if this margin debt is short vs long.

Is this statistic available anywhere?
