steve...."proceeds from put sales"

presently all goes to money market, as i have committed cash to a major real estate transaction.

years ago i used the proceeds to buy common or atm/itm/ditm leaps (decision based on premium to the market). would eventually exercise the calls for the common.

currently, i rarely buy calls, only special situations, or in spread combos, that i feel have the probability of profitable return.

in this market a cash position is advantageous as it allows one to move swiftly at oversold points, much like yesterday morning.

too much money to be made with minimum risk by using capacity....

i'm not greedy....4-6% per month against cash/capacity works for me....6k per 100k, just scale it up....why day trade or buy calls in bulk...prefer cash in hand to "potential" loss of opportunity, no repair ability with call buys....
