Roth Healthcare Conference; Former FDA Commissioner Featured

PR Newswire - April 30, 1997 08:36

IRVINE, Calif., April 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Emerging growth companies in the biomed, medical devices and healthcare industries will be featured at the Annual Cruttenden Roth Healthcare Conference, scheduled May 19-20 at the St. Regis Hotel in New York City.
Featured speaker at this year's conference is former FDA Commissioner Dr. David A. Kessler, who will be addressing the 500-plus attendees at the Tuesday, May 20 luncheon. Until this past March, Dr. Kessler served as FDA Commissioner for seven years under both the Bush and Clinton Administrations. On July 1st he will become Dean of the Yale University School of Medicine.
The goal of the 72 public and ten private presenting companies will be to capture the interests of the nation's institutional investors and portfolio managers; the kind of interest that can infuse additional capital needed for continued research and development of new medical products and services.
Cruttenden Roth, a Western US-based underwriter specializing in emerging growth companies, sponsors this conference to provide "small cap healthcare companies an opportunity to meet one-on-one with some of the most influential investors and analysts on Wall Street," said Byron Roth, President of Cruttenden Roth.
During the two-day event, top management from each company will be
allocated a 20-minute segment to present their company stories. Presentations will be followed by breakout sessions for public companies where investors will get face time with each company's management, and receive hands-on demonstrations of the company's products and services.
Co-sponsors of this year's conference include Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth, a leading Western US law firm; Arthur Andersen, one of the world's largest accounting and auditing firms; PR Newswire, the international press relations service; and RR Donnelly, financial publishers.
Institutional investors, financial advisors, analysts and portfolio managers will be hosted. For registration information contact Cruttenden Roth's conference desk: (714) 757-5786.
