That's a completely different issue that you raise here. The original post about the $1/month increase on average CC borrowing costs still makes no sense.

And, incidentally, as I have explained in the past in this thread, rents count in calculation of CPI, not mortgage payments (one is a consumption-related and the other an asset-related expenditure). Rents are not growing as fast as mortgages, even in the coasts. So, that's a red herring you raise (almost like saying higher equity prices are evidence of inflation).
