telecomguy, RE: There are reasons why the top optics R&D companies & scientists are gravitating toward NT and not CSCO. These billionaire propeller-heads are not intersted in getting another $100 million squeezed from CSCO. What is interesting is that NT offered 10% than LU for Agere, and yet Agere management took the lower offer, citing LU's greater experience in integrating new businesses. In addition, Agere management cited the greater volatility in NT's stock price, although the facts do not support this premise.
