That's right Jim B, the percentages reflect only the posters on this thread that actually posted their results. The stats at most are only a crude barometer that allows a rough relative comparison between the thread's success (or lack of success) on the different IPO's.

I would imagine the overall chances are no where near 9% and are much, much less than 1%. For instance, I read somewhere that it is estimated E*trade gets at least 50,000 IOI's on the not so hot IPO's. Assuming E*trade gets a generous 50,000 shares from E*offering and all 1000 fifty-share allotments are made, the percentage would be 2% (1,000/50,000). But in a not-so-perfect world 2% translate to less that 1%.
