I can certainly see the argument around bimogol influence. I did some quick research on my own to see what the modern presentation is. It is a very interesting perspective, now involving all religions and philosophical disciplines.

My point in criticizing the brit was simply that the perspective of the brit was how the christian cultures "dropped the ball" so to speak. This article betrays a purely socioeconomic and political perspective.

What I have noticed in relation to any conversion to a belief in God is that three things need to be present. One is a dissatisfaction with the status quo (this is where the brit article makes sense). Two is time to think. The third issue is that the thing they are considering has to contain the truth. Since I strongly believe Islam contains the truth, then I imagine a whole different way to present the history of the mass conversion of these people which would include not only the reasons for disatisfaction with christian culture but the reasons the people were attracted to Islam.

When people are troubled with the way things are and they are presented with the truth as an alternative, they are very likely to flock to it. The problem you and I are faced with in the clintonian period is, the complete comfort our citizenry feels with the status quo in this time of economic stability. The clintons of the nation are generally having their way with the masses and not enough of us are willing to rock the boat. Consequently we are getting screwed and it is apparently consensual. Information on the violation of principle, morality, and truth falls on deaf ears.
