Company Press Release
USA Video Interactive to Exclusively Video Stream and Webcast Coverage of the Amistad Construction and Initial Sailing
MYSTIC, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 22, 2000--AMISTAD America, Inc. has selected USA Video Interactive (OTCBB:USVO - news; CDNX:US - news; www.usvo.com) as its exclusive webcaster to provide streaming Internet video of the construction and launching of the Freedom Schooner Amistad at the Mystic Seaport, America's Maritime Museum. USA Video Interactive will produce a video that chronicles the project from conception to initial voyage and will make this available free of charge via the Internet, accessible from the AMISTAD America, Inc. website (www.amistadamerica.org), its own website (www.usvo.com) and other sites to be announced.

``Having USA Video Interactive streaming and web casting our videos gives us access to audiences we would never have been able to reach before,' said Douglas Fishman, AMISTAD America, Inc. director of Information Technologies and corporate counsel. ``We look forward to an exciting and mutually beneficial alliance as we take Amistad from dream to reality. We will now be able to use their cutting-edge technology to showcase video of the Amistad's construction, launch, and voyages, and be able to spread the educational message of our organization to people all over the world.'

``We are gratified to have a role in bringing this very important story from our country's history to the ever-growing audience on the Internet,' said Edwin Molina, President of USA Video Interactive. ``It's an important part of our mission in education: bringing history and culture to life via the convergence of technology and video.'

The actual launching will take place this weekend in ceremonies involving dignitaries and historians from around the world, here to witness the re-creation of the famous ship that brought freedom-winning Africans who had been illegally enslaved to the United States in the 1800s, and recently was the subject of an Academy Award winning movie, Amistad, produced by Stephen Spielberg. The ceremonies culminate months of work by AMISTAD America, Inc., volunteers, and sponsors building an exact replica of the ship and seeking out historical facts to enhance and explain its educational and cultural importance.

USA Video Interactive will also provide video streaming creation and hosting services to OpSail 2000, a national gathering of tall ships this summer in which AMISTAD America, Inc. is participating. USA Video Interactive will provide live webcasts of Amistad's voyage to New York for that city's July 4th OpSail 2000 Festival, significantly increasing viewership and understanding of Amistad's role in the history of the country.
