There are, though, a couple of worthwhile points. First, many people commute into the city, but the major traffic arteries are still clogged during rush hour, because the total need was underestimated 30 years ago. Second, my wife would drive if it did not add on another 30 minutes during rush hour, because the train is out of the way, with no real shelter on the platform, and she has to walk in a crush of people for connections on the Metro, and she has a terminal 10 minute walk to the office. She likes the exercise, but not in all seasons.........
