I believe that they were hoping that the deal would be viewed favorably by being positioned as the only one-stop Linux shop. I suppose that they thought they might cash in on the Linux hype.

I do not know how the shareholders will vote. The market has already voted the deal down. The issue is will the big shareholders, besides Coates, vote no confidence in the board and Fuller (which is what a no vote is). I do not believe that the board or Fuller will survive a no vote. The next question is who would then run the company?
