bryston: Of course Ericsson is a full, card carrying member and respected founder of GSM (God knows why Ericsson could be "respected" by any sentient being), but image and reality are often different, and objective evidence of Ericsson's technological prowess (if any) is scanty.

And Ericsson has paid for many a "lunch"+ for European bureaucrats and politicians (and other "decision makers" around the world).

But there is clear evidence that Ericsson has given priority to ACES phones rather than G* phones.

ACES phones have been rolled out already and are "sweet" by report.

This is in sharp contrast to the (almost nonexistent) GSM G* phones.

The question is why?

Is Ericsson playing games, chosing sides (against G*), or worse?

Having watched Ericsson during the "Holy Wars", worse seems a reasonable assumption, i.e. Ericsson was out to delay at a minimum, and perhaps destroy at a maximum, G*.

We will never know of course.

But the evidence leads to suspicion.

Best.
