the price differential between JDSU and ETEK does not indicate anything

I remember last year when EGRP announced buying of TBFC, then price of EGRP and TBFC converged and later diverged. As you know the deal took more time than anticipated.

Something like that could be happening. What makes this thing ( price differential) more tricky is the volatility.

My take is this: Unless ETEK or JDSU management say explicitly that the deal is off, then you can be sure it is on track except that it is taking more time.
