Hello Sarge!
I'm willing to bet that the FGH conference call will probably be the most listened to call in the patch this year. I wonder if the phone company will have enough lines to accommodate everyone. <g>
I must admit Sarge, investing in FGH at this time, today, tomorrow, this week doesn't have an appeal to me. Judging from the volume, I would assume a lot of other investors think the same way I do.
TDW may award some contracts to FGH, but that is insignificant in the scope of things. It's not the contracts that informed investors are looking at, it's management and the future make-up of FGH that has most people concerned. JL has lost credibility with a lot of investors. He may earn it back, I hope he does, but for now a lot of investors are saying, it's time to put up.
I respectfully disagree that now is the time to accumulate FGH for most investors. Why place money in a company that isn't showing significant gains when there are so many other companies doing well without all of the uncertainty of an FGH?
I can't prove this, but I bet most of the activity the last couple of days in FGH has been from people who already own FGH and are trying to lower their cost basis or people who are selling existing shares on 1/4 point moves and repurchasing after the price goes down, which in essence is another strategy to gain back their losses on this stock from last year.
I just can't imagine an informed investor establishing a large position in FGH prior to knowing what information is going to be released during that conference call.
There's still plenty of time to purchase FGH, in my opinion. But for the time being, there are easier fish to catch upstream.
I am hopeful that you will do well with FGH as you are willing to sit and wait. I don't see this crowd, including me, having that sort of patience when we are at the crossroads of the biggest energy burst in recent history.
This is rush hour in NYC Sarge, these trains don't wait. You either make the train or it leaves without you. You can always catch the next one, it'll be along promptly, but you can't make up for "lost opportunity".
I wish you the best Sarge! If all goes well, I'll be riding your train, but I'm going to let one of the other trains take me up the line first.
