Thanks for the explanation.

I would not be experienced enough for such a trade, though. I have been lucky with call options over the past year. But I only use them in a trending market and only when I am 100% certain <gg> the strike price will be reached. The trade you described would best be handled by a very experienced trader such as yourself. I would be too chicken.
In this case I did buy some QQQ calls today. I would be stunned if the Naz 100 did not reach a new high.
