Guy, ref. your post # 3061.

Nice analysis of pro and cons for LS120 vs. ZIP. However, I
disagree with your assumption that PC buyer still want to buy or
have compatibility with 1.44 FB- and as such the LS120 has a
major advantage over the Zip in Laptops.

If anything, the Zip is far more valuable in a laptop than a 1.44 FD.
But there is an issue concerning software distribution/installation to
a laptop without a 1.44 FD or a CDROM. If software distribution
is available for Zip disks, all problems are solved.

For the Zip to be come standard and replace 1.44 FD and some
CDROM applications, software distribution on zip disks must be
available. I hope Iomega understood this.

Sounds to me that Iomega is working hard on a Zip for laptop, and I
thought that NEC hinted that they are working with Iomega on this.
I hope the laptop Zip will come out beofre LS120.
