Sure hope so, Bill, but the one thing you can count on is Mr. Market surprising you.

>> QQQ is up 1.6%, Frank, that's what I have been talking about

Remember, Bill, QQQ is my cash repository; I use it instead of leaving my unapplied funds in cash. Fido only pays 5% money market rates on the cash in my account, but the money I parked in QQQ on 1/28/00 has returned 30.3%, which is a fair rate of return. Overall, I was up 4.8% today with my G&K+QQQ portfolio, since QQQ only represents < 9% of the pie.

Your streamlined version of QQQ is fascinating and will probably dwarf QQQ's returns, but it takes too much work for me to contemplate doing it. I like to keep my investing universe very small, and stay current on each of my 7 holdings on a daily basis. That's something you can't possibly do with your diversified portfolio.

Or can you?
