<<All I remember is several months ago someone purporting to be a high level officer in the Military Procurement Program stated something to the effect that MVIS technology was now the technology of choice for all the services.>>

I don't know if this is what you are referring to, but the military is still in the evaluation phase of MVIS technology:

From: mvispages.com

November, 1998
In a signed memorandum, the Navy stated that it has identified RSDT as a "state-of-the-art" optical technology that serves as a "baseline" by which all other optical technologies will be measured. The Navy also stated that it recognizes "RSDT's potential to improve Navy helmet display capabilities in numerous mission areas and advance warfighting capabilities of air, surface and sub-surface crewman by providing readable, scalable, full-color images of remote information directly onto the retina, thus bypassing conventional displays."

Regarding revenue:

From the most recent 10-Q

They list only "contract revenue" under income. They have no revenue from sales.

Under Management Discussion:

WE ARE SUBSTANTIALLY DEPENDENT ON PARTNERS IN THE DEFENSE AND AEROSPACE INDUSTRIES. Our revenues to date have been derived principally from product development research relating to defense and aerospace applications of the VRD technology. The Company believes that development programs and sales of potential products in these markets will represent a significant portion of our future revenues. Developments that adversely affect the defense and aerospace sectors, including reductions or delays in government funding and a general economic downturn, could, in turn, materially and adversely affect the Company's business and operating results.

I would be happy to take this discussion to the Tornado thread, but MVIS is an R&D company that hasn't even crossed the chasm yet. Since MVIS is related to CREE perhaps occasional discussions here are warranted?
