Ray,

You have been in ICOM much longer than I and are much more familiar with the company. As I've stated frequently, I am in this stock strictly on its technicals which, despite the last two days setbacks, are very strong and right on target.

However, I am also somewhat familiar with the opinions of people who are intimately familiar with ICOM product status in terms of leading-edge technology. For example, I had lunch the other day with a gentleman who, based on information he had and which he assured me was credible, stated that ICOM is at least 6 months ahead of any competitor in the fiber optic infrastructure access race. I have heard the same thing from other sources, whose credentials I cannot vouch for.

My personal opinion, at this juncture, is that ICOM must make serious attempts to promote their current products and promote their vision and direction for the future. If in fact they are 6 months ahead of the game, they can afford to do that -- and this new financial package gives them the ability to do that.

That's where I think we are. I only wish the earnings announcement wasn't so soon. I expect that it will either be closely preceded by, or accompanied with, another news release about something substantive -- like a contract.
