Re: "I want to point something out to you who, more than any other Intel supporter, complains of Sanders's vendetta with Intel....I know, I know; you are a concerned AMD long.
In any case if the source of the vendetta is Sanders, why is that the press always makes Intel the culprit?"

It is human nature to trash whoever is at the top. IBM used to be hated by most everyone. MSFT is also hated because they are at the top. People generally hate winners because most people can't relate to winning but can relate to losing. Powerless people feel much more comfortable rooting for the underdog because they feel like underdogs themselves.

Re: "Intel, for instance, began a scorched-earth pricing campaign in January 1999, after AMD gained a number of design wins with large computer makers such as Gateway"

A perfect example here. Intel always priced their products above the predatory pricing levels set by AMD, let who gets blamed for a price war? Today AMD wages a price war with much lower pricing but you would never admit it. You feel much more comfortable rooting for someone you can relate to.
