Neither party is going to appear conciliatory when speaking to the media. When both sides are behind closed doors, I'm sure they realize that each will have to make some compromises to arrive at a settlement.

Of course, the judge will have to approve it. But what judge wouldn't approve the settlement of such a landmark case when disapproving it would put it squarely back in his lap to decide?
