Mike,
Good link. I have to admit I use margin regularly. However, there are a couple of rules I always live with.

1. I alwys keep margin to what I think is a reasoble percentage of my overall account.

2. I try to avoid momentum or highly speculative stocks.

3. I always know which stocks I am going to sell if the market turns down and I become concerned about the margin percentage getting too high.

4. Unless the stock is a core holding I pull the trigger and sell if it drops 10%.

All this said, I still consider myself a GGamer since I do not mess with QCO, GMST, & NTAP. I am getting ready to sell my EMC and have lightened up a little with QCOM.

My reason for the post is to argue that margin, like many other things, is a tool. But, like a power tool, you have to be alert when using it.
